I have thoroughly enjoyed the vendors and owner at Picket Fence, they have encouraged me and my creative passion of selling vintage finds and re-purposed home & garden goods. However, after much consideration I have decided to step away from the monthly sale venue to focus on family needs.

But since JUNK is in my veins I will continue creating great projects, collecting great JUNK & focus on just a few large shows per year.  My blog will be updated every 2-4 weeks with great stuff, so if you see something of interest feel free to contact me!

Lucillesvintiques@gmail.com or Cell Phone 651.308.6088.

Lucille's will be at the following sales:

Junk Bonanza - September 26-28
Old Depote JUNKtion - May 2014

I am also looking forward of being part of the 2014 Old Depote JUNKtion coordination team!

See you at the next sales!

Enjoy ~  Ruth

Farewell Dad

It has been 7 weeks since my last blog.  Honestly my heart has not been in to JUNK since early June when my dad's health took a turn and he rapidly declined and passed away on June 20th.  He fought his cancer with dignity and courage, I miss him deeply.  I am so thankful that I had the opportunity to spend the last 5 months of his life by his side.

A special thank you to Heartland Hospice who provided comfort during the last days & Mayo Rochester Oncology who took the 'scary' out of cancer.

On June 29th we had a wonderful Celebration of Life at his home on the waterfront, complete with a Veteran's Honor of Gun Salute, Taps and Flag Presentation.  Over 200 friends and family attended, sharing and remembering my dad and his full life of 82 years.

My talented husband carefully handcrafted a beautiful brass Urn, which proudly resides with my mom in Brainerd. My dad had requested a handcrafted Urn from my husband, Jeff who he loved like a son.

A Final Resting Place
Dad this is not a final farewell, but a simple goodbye until we meet in heaven.

I Love You - Ruth
